Wild Barra is born from this Country. From Our Country. From Pinnirinch.
Patha polngol ngatherruw patha kunjarr ngen kokthapal
This land (my homeland) is my mother's place and we are the owners of this place! - Pinnarinch Ma Wanjibang.
I was sitting by the river, the home to my ancestors for tens of thousands of years and I was in awe.
I was also angry about how the beauty of our people and lands are too often ignored in favour of focus on the challenges we face. I wanted to do something about it.
I wanted to bring Cape York to New York baby.
And so Wild Barra was born.
I was broke (still am actually:) I was a student working two jobs to get by. I was determined to create something that our people and all Australians can be proud of.
My name is Shaun Edwards. My totem is sour yam (Ma Wanjibang) and Wild Grass (pukun). I am the great grandson of the great Kenny Jimmy. I am Kokoberrin, I am Australian and these are my designs.
Welcome to Wild Barra
